Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-06-07

IVF Canada (“we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you use our website or enroll in our TEF Canada preparation programs, how we use it, and who we share it with.

Information We Collect

We collect only what we need to provide our services and respond to you. This includes:

  • Contact information — name, email address, and phone number, submitted through our demo booking form, contact form, or at checkout.
  • Learning preferences — your current French level, preferred batch timing, and how you heard about us.
  • Enrollment & payment information — the batch and tier you enrolled in, the amount paid, your Stripe customer ID, and (for in-person customers) your subscription ID. We do not store full credit card numbers — see “Payment Data” below.
  • Booking information — demo class date, time, and calendar invite recipient.
  • Usage data — basic site analytics such as pages visited, anonymized IP for rate limiting, and standard server logs.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Process demo bookings and program enrollments;
  • Charge subscriptions and handle billing for in-person students;
  • Send class schedules, joining links, batch updates, and important account notices;
  • Send promotional and educational content related to TEF Canada preparation (only with your consent);
  • Track your progress in our programs and confirm your “unlimited until pass” access status;
  • Respond to your inquiries and provide customer support;
  • Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents;
  • Improve our website and program offerings.

Payment Data

All payments are processed by Stripe Payments Canada, Ltd. When you enter your card details, you are entering them on Stripe's secure (PCI-DSS compliant) checkout — we never see or store your card number, CVC, or expiry date. We only receive a Stripe customer ID, the amount paid, the last four digits of your card (for support purposes), and subscription metadata. Stripe's own privacy policy applies to the card data they hold: stripe.com/privacy.

CASL Compliance

In accordance with Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL), we only send commercial electronic messages to individuals who have provided their express consent. You can withdraw your consent at any time by replying “unsubscribe” or by contacting us at the email address below. Transactional messages — payment receipts, class schedules, and account notices — are not subject to consent under CASL.

Third-Party Services We Use

To run our business, we rely on the following third-party services. Each has its own privacy policy and security practices:

  • Stripe — payment processing and subscription billing.
  • Google Workspace — Google Sheets for our internal records (leads, enrollments, batch schedule), Gmail for sending email, Google Calendar for demo scheduling, and Google Meet for online classes.
  • Vercel — website hosting (Toronto / North America region).

We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties. We share data with the services above only as necessary to deliver the service you have requested (for example, sharing your email with Google so we can add you to a Google Calendar event).

Cookies

Our site uses essential cookies for session management on the admin portal and basic analytics. We do not use third-party advertising trackers. You can disable cookies in your browser, but doing so may break parts of the site that require login.

Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to provide our services and to comply with our legal obligations (typically 7 years for billing records under Canadian tax law). You can request deletion of your data at any time, except where we are legally required to retain it.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you;
  • Correct any information that is inaccurate or out of date;
  • Request deletion of your information (subject to legal retention requirements);
  • Withdraw consent for marketing communications at any time;
  • File a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca.

Children's Privacy

Our programs are intended for adults preparing for immigration to Canada. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 16. If you believe we have collected such information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
